Roots-Climbing is a throw back to the 80's and 90's, with both eyes on the future. Our passion is in developing boulders and establishing new areas.
While we embrace the modern indoor scene, we are principally a wilderness brand. We like rocks, simple.
Happy to give up climbing time for hangboarding and questing, many significant discoveries have been made.
To this end, Roots-Climbing has been involved in several guide books over the years, the most recent being the book, Quarry Life, Forest of Dean Bouldering and the soon to be completed Forest Blocks. Not limited to the Forest, our chief designer put up a few problems on the Culm Coast, long before it was fashionable and found a few moss covered gems in Dumfries, Scotland.
The Forest has been the principle hunting ground for a few years now and this page is dedicated to these developments and some Culm action, as lets be honest, the problems there are quite incredible.
Above and below, very recent developments in the Forest of Dean. Control Freak, 6c and
Big Little World, 6b. You can see more FoD bouldering here.
The next two images are also from the latest Forest of Dean bouldering sessions.
